Dancing Queen

Ha! Guess what, guys? The old good Sasha decided to go to dancing classes! :D At first, I wanted to attend contemporary dancing classes, but my body is SO not prepared for wthat they do in the studio. So instead, I went to the Hip-Hop Heels classes. I wouldn't say that it is much easier, but affordable. The rhythm is so fast, I instantly forget all the moves I learned earlier. Agggrrrrr... What is your opinio, should I go for it even though I am... emm...lame at dancing? Or should I quit and find hobby I am at least good at?! :)


Here is our dance teachers performing recently at the club. I think I will need at least a year to dance as good. Haha

  2. sounds like a lot of fun!! i have a friend who is a dancer, and she started with ballet, jazz and things like that, and she said hip hop is a lot of fun and a really great cardio workout, keep up the good work!

  4. Do it!!! Coming from an experienced dancer (I danced for 14 consecutive years from age 4 to 18 and started up again last year), I think you could probably do either. Hip hop may be harder if its a faster pace but the key is memorizing and muscle memory. Ask the teacher if they can let you write down the moves (or perhaps video tape classes) and then download the song and practice practice practice at home. Hope this helps! Now go out there and dance your heart out :)

  7. Go with it. It is amazing how quickly you will pick up the moves. Your body will remember. Dancing is the best and most fun way to get fit. Enjoy. Xxxx

  9. Sometimes part of the fun of dancing is not being very good at it! Not everyone can be a principal dancer, but when the music comes on, we all have the same instinct :) Just keept at it, you'll definitely improve with time... And it's fun!
