Urban Outfitters. Fall Collection snapshots.

Being raised in the family of professional, old-school traditional photographers, surprisingly recently I have been enjoying looking through snapshot-like images. Even if they were grainy, or shot with the on-camera flash or lacking a good "rule of thirds" composition. What I liked about those, was the feeling of un-guarded "real-lifeness." There is something youthful and true about them.

On the wave of appreciation, I saw this Fall Catalogue for Urban Outfitters photographed by Tyrone Lebon in New York. I was looking not so much at the clothes, but more on the feel of the images. Do you find a certain ammount of charm in such pictures?

  1. The first and last shots are my favourite. But geez, I always wish collection photos could be more realistic. There's no way I'm frolicking in water in combat boots and shorts in Canada!

  4. I love how natural and candid these photos look - there is nothing like editorial photography, it's true, but I think in a lot of situations this kind of vintage style is actually much prettier. The second photo is a great example of that, I think :)
